ONTRACK is a business unit of KiwiRail (New Zealand Railways Corporation), a state owned enterprise. Our underlying philosophy is to lead rail growth by managing and maintaining the rail network.
As a state owned enterprise KiwiRail has share-holding Ministers. The Ministers state their expectations to the KiwiRail Board in an annual ministerial letter.
The Board reviews the Ministers’ expectations and sets ONTRACK's direction. Our Senior Management Team is then tasked with following this direction and ensuring our 900 staff meet our operational targets.
